Who
We Are
Our Story | Our Leadership | What We Believe | Our Vision | Church Planting
Sanctuary is a diverse community of individuals who have abandoned the notion that life can and should be lived in isolation. We express ourselves uniquely and are united by our love for Jesus.
Sanctuary is not a
‘church’ the way our society
defines it.
Church is not someplace we “go.” Church is
something we
are—and we are a family with members of all ages and
backgrounds.
In this family there are musicians, military personnel, construction
workers, stay-at-home moms, students, and professionals. We are a
family that strongly believes that God loves people. Therefore, while
we are a close-knit family, we are always interested in new family
members who would be a part of a community where people seek to know
and love God, live in fellowship with others, and transform the world
by serving our city as we think Jesus would.
Sanctuary is also a member of the Acts 29 Network. Acts 29 is not a
denomination, but rather a network of churches from many denominations
who partner together to plant and replant more churches.
Are
you new to Sanctuary?
We know it can be a little unnerving to step into somewhere new,
especially when you’re not exactly sure about the details
that
matter to you. Here are some answers to
frequently asked questions
about the church to give you a picture of what Sanctuary looks like
week to week. If you have any other questions or would like to contact
us for any reason, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@charlestonsanctuary.com.
