Generations
We offer children's programs that meet Sunday mornings during
regular service times for children from newborn through elementary age.
We use a curriculum that not only teaches children about who God is
and his love for them, but his character and that of those who serve
him as well. Our curriculum takes children through the Bible in a way that is interactive, creative, and
meaningful.
Beyond what we do on Sunday morning, we want to walk along side parents
for encouragement and support. Our hope is that as parents and
volunteers own the responsibility for the children of Sanctuary, we
will have kids who love Jesus, and fathers and mothers who are better
equipped.
These
words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach
them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit
in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and
when you rise.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Classes
Each class is designed to teach our children about the love of God and
Jesus at the level of their comprehension. We have 4 different age
groups and use
"Show Me Jesus" as our curriculum.
Nursery 6 weeks-18 months
Toddlers 18 months-4 years
Pre-School 4 years-6 years
Elementary 6 years- 10 years
Sunday Check-in Process
If you're new to the Sanctuary Children's Ministry, we want to make you
as comfortable with the process as possible. Please allow a few extra
minutes on Sunday morning to get your children signed in. At the top of
the stairs, you will see a green Generations sign directing you to our
children's area. A volunteer will be there to help you check in and
will answer any questions you might have.
Safety and Security Measures
Sanctuary takes all the precautionary measures it can to keep kids safe while in Children's Ministry.
All Children's Ministry volunteers and staff have had state and
national background checks, personal reference checks, and been verified
as able to serve in the Children's Ministry by the leadership of
Sanctuary. All those applying to serve must be regular attenders
to be considered for application.
Each child and parent are given identification tags at check-in. Children are not released to anyone
unless they present the matching identification tag for each child.
