Service

"Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
Philipians 2:3-4

As God's people, we are called to seek justice for all people (Isaiah 1:17), not just those that hold our values. All around us their are people in need, and if we have the means to meet those needs we are called to action (Luke 3:11).

We seek to embody the gospel in practical and tangible ways which honor God and help others. Our service simply demonstrates our love for both. Jesus calls his church to be a compelling force for good in the world, and we believe that the church is at its best when it serves, sacrifices, and loves—caring about the things God cares about. We were created to live for something larger than ourselves.

Though we joyfully invite every person to faith in Jesus, we are committed to sacrificially serving our neighbors whether they believe as we do or not. We do this by using our gifts and resources for the needs of others, especially the poor. And more than merely meeting individual needs, we work for justice for the powerless.

"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." ..."And the King will answer them, Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
Matthew 25:35-36,40
