Volunteer Opportunities

Take some time to learn more about the opportunities we have for you to get plugged into what we do here at Sanctuary.

Generations: Sanctuary Children's Ministry
We love kids here at Sanctuary. Our children's ministry works very hard to create a safe, fun, and engaging atmosphere for our kids to learn about Jesus. As a volunteer, you commit to serve one Sunday a month. You will teach a lesson that will be provided for you in advance and spend time playing with the kids along with another volunteer. More than anything we want you to communicate how much they matter to you and how much they matter to God. If you'd like more information on serving in the children's ministry, email generations@charlestonsanctuary.com or check out the children's page on our website.

Worship Band

The worship team is a group of musically talented individuals that seek to use their gifts to lead the church in worship on Sunday mornings and at other special events through music, prayer, and scripture.  Our hope is to engage people through a creative and dynamic expression of affection and worth to our God and King.

Each member of the team commits to prepare individually and at a mid-week practice. They also commit to pursue a lifestyle of worship in “Spirit and in Truth” as the bible defines it and as the Holy Spirit leads. For more information about how to get involved, Email worship@charlestonsanctuary.com.

Production Team
The production team exists to support and enable excellent teaching and worship through the use of technology. Sound and Visual media equipment is used to enhance the worship experience for those that attend a weekly service. This team’s goal is to offer an environment where the message can be communicated effectively, clearly,  and free from distraction. Each member of the team commits to arrive early Sunday mornings to setup the equipment used during the service. For more information about how you can get involved, Email volunteer@charlestonsanctuary.com.

Hospitality Team
This team's goal is to create an environment that will help the members and guests of Sanctuary feel welcomed and loved. We also want to provide information that will help people to know more about our church and how they can get involved with the activities of the church and develop connections to other believers. Each member commits to arrive early Sunday mornings to setup up tables for information and refreshments. For more information about how you can get involved, Email volunteer@charlestonsanctuary.com.

Design Team
The design team looks for creative ways to communicate what the church is all about. They work to express ideas through visual arts and graphic design, among other methods.  They try to develop effective and creative ways to communicate
the themes of a sermon series or particular message. Primarily, the goal of this group is to enhance aspects of church life by using the gifts we have been given.

This team manages all the graphic design and communication for the church, as well as brainstorming creative ways to engage the arts in our community. If you've been labeled "artsy" or "the creative type"  before, this might be the area for you to serve in. Email jon.lowder@charlestonsanctuary.com for more information.
